This Sunday, July 20th, we mark a special milestone — 20 years to the day since the very first Summer Sings in 2005, which also featured Brahms’ German Requiem. This year, we return to that work, led by Artistic Director Dr. Alissa Deeter and guest conductor Dr. Katherine FitzGibbon.
Summer Sings FAQ
Why are there different pricing options?
We offer sliding scale pricing so everyone can join in Summer Sings. We had switched to a fully free model, but we can't accomodate that at the Reser. If you choose the $10 price, you're helping cover costs for someone who might not be able to swing the full amount right now. Your extra latte's worth of $5 helps support a subsidized seat.
Is there a further reduced price/free option?
Yes! Please reach out to the Reser Box Office for Arts For All ticketing. You can also reach out to info@pschoir.org for additional information

Join the Portland Symphonic Choir for an immersive audience participation concert experience as part of Summer Sings at The Reser. Whether you’re new to singing or an experienced chorister, Summer Sings invites you to pick up a score and sing from your seat, surrounded by members of the Portland Symphonic Choir. If you prefer to listen, we’d love to have you come, listen, and learn!
The first of three Summer Sings this Summer, this series brings Portland-metro area people together in multigenerational, participatory performances that uplift local conductors, soloists and community singers. These sing-alongs broaden the reach and relevance of choral music in our region, providing a collective exploration of great choral music together.
What should I expect?
Arrive and pick up a score (or bring your own) at our score pick up table! Ushers will point you to sit by your section. Only planning on listening? You can sit by the friends or person you came with and be surrounded by the music!
Why are there different Summer Sings ticket systems this year?
We’re celebrating 20 years of Summer Sings at the Reser, which means their box office handles the ticketing.
