A Happy Hour is planned for Monday, December 7th to celebrate our work on Wintersong (take a sneak-peak at some of the content) and enjoy virtual social time with a sing-a-long or two. BYOB and snacks.
Now is the time to start sharing information about our upcoming Wintersong Concert with your friends and associates. An email blast was sent this morning with all the details. In brief, it's Sunday afternoon, December 13th at 4 (Pacific time), AND since this is a "virtual concert," it will be available to view for several days after its premier! We are commemorating our 75th anniversary and including 3 area high schools in addition to both new and old works from PSC. The link to the big event will be shared via email and on our web site the week before. If you didn't receive this morning's email announcement, please send a quick note(!) to info@pschoir.org and Jayde will ensure you are included in the next blast.
Starting in January, Portland Symphonic Choir Winter and early Spring activities will feature a Virtual Masterworks Series. We are inviting prestigious choral directors from around the country to join us for an evening of inspirational song, community, and discussion. Save these dates for our coming virtual (Zoom) sessions: Monday, January 25, Monday, February 22, Monday, March 29, and Tuesday, April 27.

Additional Choral news of note and some memoirs: Steven Zopfi via Facebook: My friend and colleague Bruce Browne has passed. He left a legacy of choral excellence, service to the profession, and dedicated students who continue in his footsteps. I am forever grateful for his work with the Portland Symphonic Choir and the Adelphian Concert Choir (the latter in 2015), and for setting the bar so high with the PSU Chamber Choir. We’ll miss you, Bruce.

Also, information has been received that Frank Holman, Portland Symphonic Choir director from 1963 to 1973 has been diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer and is now in hospice care.
