Thanks to everyone for your flexibility and attention to detail these past few days. The parking at the Moda Center turned out ok (we were informed to use the other lot at 2 pm on Thursday -- nice) AND not only did everyone submit their COVID-19 tests on time (55 of 60 uploaded results Wednesday night) we all tested negative! This demonstrates that our Singing Safely Together plan worked and our diligence with masks, spacing, revised rehearsal plans, and many other behind the scenes details are paying off.
Oregon Arts Watch, a regional publication of arts and culture news, recently published a piece featuring our Choir, written by Daryl Browne. Here is a link
From Claire: A hearty thank you for rolling with the many changes Thursday. I appreciate your flexibility and express my gratitude to everyone. I truly felt the joy of the concert!
From Alissa: What an excellent performance last night! Kudos for taking the early pandemonium in stride, especially the "when does this concert actually start" mystery. The maestro was extremely pleased and very complementary. Our stage buddy, Ken, let me stand off-stage right with the Bocelli performers for the second half. It was a pleasure to be close enough to the action to see how happy you all were being up on stage again. You were prepared, professional, and sang beautifully -- even though the masks. Congratulations on a job well done!
From Wendy: I so missed being with you Thursday night for the Bocelli. I have heard wonderful things about the concert and your performance. Thank you for all of the work you did to prepare and special thanks to Alissa who had to cover everything in my absence. I am recovering well and look forward to being with you Monday!
Please note next Monday's rehearsal plan, below.
