If there is a newer version, Zoom will download and install it.

Please note the calendar entry (above) for this Sunday, November 1st, a rebroadcast from last week’s special Fall into the Arts program on local radio station, All Classical (FM 89.9 and worldwide, allclassical.org). The 90 minute show is quite entertaining, particularly the last third that includes our Choir and a couple of comments from Alissa. Several movements from our recording of the Rachmaninoff All Night Vespers are featured a little more than an hour into the show. Be sure to keep listening to the end as we conclude the program with Steven Foster's Hard Times Come Again No More.

Please review our Anti-Harassment & Anti-Discrimination Policy (attached) and acknowledge that you have reviewed and are in compliance by "signing" this Google form (click on it). Although we are meeting and rehearsing in a different way this year, it is still important that we are all aware of these important policies. (2nd request from the one Jayde sent out with last Monday's rehearsal reminder. Thanks if you have already clicked and completed the Google form).

Our website resources continue to be updated including pronunciation guides (PSCSINGERS/Members or Guests & Alumni (pswd: wintersong2020)/Study Resources), with several additional materials to help everyone prepare for rehearsal (hint, hint).

Detailed information will also be posted to the website next week regarding how we are to record our individual contributions for Wintersong. We are working out the step-by-step information from the technical folks (in NYC) so we have the best possible sound and images. In the meantime, practice recording with a SmartPhone by taking a selfie/video of you singing and smiling into the camera! Then listen and take note of possible improvements.

From Alissa: We want to hear about your Wintersong Memories! Do you have a special memory or reflection about Wintersongs and holiday concerts from past seasons? Take a moment to video-record your memory and share it with us. We will be using these memories as social media teasers for our upcoming Wintersong concert. Need help with an idea? Here are a few prompts:

- A connection to Portland

- Serving our community

- Making music with other ensembles/musicians

- Making friends, creating relationships, enjoying shared music-making

Keep your reflections short — under 30 seconds, please. You can upload your reflection directly to our Dropbox by clicking here

From Wendy: Thank you for all of your work on our two upcoming virtual projects. As a reminder, all recordings are due Monday, November 16. Check the website for all the information you need to record.

I will be holding a special info session Monday November 9 at 6:30 for anyone who has not recorded from home before. I will talk you through the entire process and answer any questions you might have.

I hope everyone listened to Fall Into the Arts on All-Classical radio Thursday night. You sounded amazing! You can catch a rebroadcast this Sunday, November 1 at 4:00 pm.
