From Daryl Browne: Looking for a night of laughs and camaraderie? It’s coming up on April 12th at 7 pm. Come and join us for Portland Symphonic Choir’s TRIVIA NIGHT, The Sequel. We had such positive feedback after our fall Trivia Event. You loved the questions, you loved the answers, but you especially loved hearing the added memories and insights from players and those who choose to cheer from the virtual bleachers. AND this time we’ve added a very special component — AUDIO questions/clips taken directly from the PSC Legacy archives. A real treat! YOU’RE IN LUCK. We still have some team spots available but the signup deadline is Monday, April 5th at 5 pm. And remember, teams are for organization, not for competition. Everyone is a winner including those of you who choose to cheer! To join a team, email me: Daryl.browne54@gmail.com and let me know. You need not sign up to cheer, you will be welcome if you just “Zoom in!” Current Choir members, alumni, and guest members are all encouraged to participate. How wonderful it will be to see you all again for TRIVIA NIGHT, The Sequel at 7 pm, April 12.

The next Masterworks experience is planned for Tuesday, April 27th. Yes, this is a change from our usual Monday routine due to "artist availability." Eugene Rogers will be leading us in the Duruflé Requiem. For more information about our guest conductor, please visit our website.

Thank you to the folks who submitted their Top PSC performances as a part of celebrating our 75th Anniversary. There is still time for your vote to be tallied. Please go to our website to list your choices (pschoir.org/top-5). A listing of works performed going back to 1980 is available within the website page. Look for the light grey "click here" under the "Let's Rank" headline. Similar to the invitation to participate in the Trivia Night on April 12, everyone is welcome to "vote." Your memories and recollections of past performances help inform us as we plan our future seasons. We want to hear from you!

Upcoming Choral (musical) events of Note: A PSU Chamber Choir concert is scheduled for Wednesday, April 7, 7 pm. (Link) This event will feature various PSU choirs and their pre-recorded live performances captured in the wonderful acoustics of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, St. Mary's Catholic Church (Mt. Angel), and an outdoor performance at the Lan Su Chinese Garden in Portland's historic Chinatown. This concert also includes a memorial to Professor Emeritus Bruce Browne who led the PSU Choirs and the Portland Symphonic Choir from 1978 to 2006. A special project for alumni to record Eric Whitacre's Sleep was recently completed and will be presented at the concert.
