One more reminder about our annual end-of-year survey of Choir members. So far, we have heard from about half of our membership -- Thank You! Please take a moment without further delay to let us know if you plan to sing next season. It's a short survey this year "and completely painless." Please complete the survey by June 9th so we can plan for next season.
All the details are now available for our upcoming Summer Sings sessions (say 3 times quickly). Click here to see (and read) our exciting lineup for this much anticipated annual event.

From Wendy: What are you doing Monday, July 26 at 7:00 pm? I hope your answer is, “Singing with my dear friends in the Portland Symphonic Choir." We will be gathering at the Multnomah Arts Center in their outdoor, covered basketball court to sing together in person! This will be an opportunity to work on getting your voice back in shape while singing through some PSC favorites and we get to see each other in person! Stay tuned for an online registration link for our first Vocalize and Socialize.
From Alissa: Summer is upon us and in just a few months we will launch into our Fall season with Vocalize and Socialize, our first opportunity in over a year to sing together as a choir! Some of us might be a bit out of vocal shape, so over the next eight weeks we will investigate vocalises and exercises to shake the cobwebs off our voices and get ourselves back into prime singer condition, including a culminating group song project with Schubert’s An die Musik. As we work on our voices, if there is a specific vocal issue you would like me to address, let me know and I will work it into the sessions. The first mini-lesson video, Vocalise Sheet #1, and the An die Musik sheet music/translation can be found on the Member and Guest/Alumni pages on our website.
Members of the Portland Symphonic Choir are invited to sing at the memorial service for Choir alum and longtime supporter, John Salmon. Rose City Park Presbyterian Church will be holding a service on Sunday, July 25 at 2 pm. Their choir has invited vaccinated PSC singers to join them for the memorial and will be singing Brahms' How Lovely Is Thy Dwelling Place and Lutkin's The Lord Bless You and Keep You. A short rehearsal will be held prior to the service. To RSVP or for more information, email Alejandra Blech (aleblech@gmail.com).
