Save the date for Trivingo -- a fun evening of PSC trivia and bingo including our Choir alumni. Tuesday, November 16 at 7 pm via Zoom. More details to follow.

From our Artistic Leaders: Our plan for the upcoming rehearsal is attached. Please use the available rehearsal tracks in Study Resources on our website as well as Dr. Carl DuPont’s pronunciation recording for the Spanish in Riu (Orange Cohort). Take time to work with the video of Jean-Baptiste Bertrand breaking down the diction for Il est bel est bon and enjoy the delightful recording of the King's Singers available in Study Resources. (also Orange Cohort). The Purple Cohort should review the newest piece, Hyo-Won Woo’s O Magnum Mysterium. You can listen and follow along here. This is the same video found in Study Resources. Rehearsal tracks are now also available. Everyone can review the pronunciation track for the Rachmaninov, Bogoroditse (scroll to the bottom of the Study Resources page).

From Claire: As always, thank you for your conscientious attention to your health as well as following our screening and safety procedures. For those singing the Bocelli concert, Thursday's Sound Check is required and lasts from 4 - 6 pm. The concert is projected to begin at 7:50 pm and singers are required to be ready to go on stage at 7:30. I am assured that there will be places to change to your concert attire if you choose to not wear it for the Sound Check. Be sure to bring your Resonance Mask and music clipped into the black three-ring binder. (A copy of our Performance Attire policy from the Membership Guide is attached for your reference). Please "travel light." We don't yet know about a secure location to lock valuables.
More than half of the Choir has used the online system to pay for their mask -- thank you! As a reminder, if you are able to do so, here is the link to reimburse the Choir for the cost of your mask ($30) AND/OR if you want to donate to cover the cost for a member who is not able to afford it.

And finally, an FYI about our Choir communication standard. We are wanting to avoid using rehearsal time for any announcements. Rehearsals can be for singing, taking a well-deserved break, then singing some more. Friday's Noteworthy News email will be the primary tool for announcements and calendar reminders. Our Artistic Directors (Alissa & Wendy) will communicate necessary rehearsal notes via email on Wednesdays following rehearsals. The Monday reminder email from Claire, our Operations Manager, is a necessary review of COVID19 precautions as recommended by our Health & Safety Committee. And as appropriate, Claire will include timely reminders about inclement weather procedures. We will do everything possible to limit our contributions to your inbox to these 3 weekly emails. Your comments and questions are always welcome and are best sent to your section leader, or me (president@pschoir.org) or Claire (claire@pschoir.org).
