The much-enjoyed PSC Trivia Night is back with all new challenges for us to enjoy, learn, and likely laugh about. Still utilizing the technical wizardry of Zoom, an hour or so of fun is planned for Monday, April 12. Current Choir members, alumni, and guest members are all welcome. Daryl Browne is organizing teams for this fun activity and has asked that each of use send an email to her to confirm participation. Her email is daryl.browne54@gmail.com.
Our Choir now has a special spot in YouTube where many of our presentations and concerts are available for viewing any time. Here is the LINK.
A reminder from Wendy: We have enjoyed an exciting start to 2021, working with two amazing conductors, Joshua Haberman and Duain Wolfe. There is still much ahead as our Virtual Masterworks Series continues on Tuedays, March 23 (Faure Requiem with Elena Sharkova) and April 27 (Durufle Requiem with Eugene Rogers). If you are a current PSC member and attend 70% of our 2020-2021 virtual activities, you will not need to sing a voice check/audition in Fall of 2021. Alissa and I are meeting with our brainstorming committee and working hard to continue our virtual season until it is safe to sing together again. We believe that there is light at the end of the tunnel and that day is coming when we will get to meet in person. Until then, please join us online to see your PSC family and keep those vocal chords in shape!
As a thought from our most recent brainstorming session, we are considering the idea of getting together in person at an outdoor site, such as a park or “in the stands of a high school football stadium.” If you know of a particular location that should be considered, please email your idea to Jayde (jayde@pschoir.org). The “winning idea(s)” will receive a fabulous prize!
In following up with last week's invitation to rank our top 10 performances (as a part of celebrating our 75th Anniversary), we have reorganized the listing of works performed, putting them in order by performance date, going back to 1980 (versus whatever name was in the composer field of the database). This should help you review concerts that you participated in AND make it easier to make your opinion known. Please go to our website to list your choices (pschoir.org/top-10). Similar to the invitation to participate in the Trivia Night in April, everyone is welcome to "vote."
